Jordan Romero, a 13-year-old boy from California, is officially the
youngest person to ever climb Mount Everest,in a group with his father
and three Sherpa guides. The previous youngest climber was Temba Tsheri
of Nepal, who was 16 years old when he reached the mountain’s peak.
